CARMEN ELECTRA
's BIOGRAPHY
Carmen Electra (dancer Tara Patrick of Cincinnati) released one self-titled album on Paisley Park
Records in 1993 and then went on to dance at 's Glam Slam West nightclub in Los Angeles,
starring in 's interactive dance/musical Glam Slam Ulysses and in the dance production ErotiCity.
As part of the ErotiCity dance troupe, Carmen appeared on the American Music Awards with
in 1995.
Carmen Electra has appeared in a nude pictorial spread in the May 1996 issue of Playboy magazine
and will star in the video Playboy Cheerleaders, due to be released in September 1996. Carmen
has a permanent role as head of the Skin Tight dancers on Roseanne's new Saturday Night
Special television program, has recently been profiled on both Extra and Entertainment Tonight,
appeared in one episode of the beach babe syndicated television show Baywatch Nights and sat
for an interview on The Howard Stern Show.
Currently living with boyfriend B. Real of the group Cypress Hill, Carmen hopes for a second
album, Carmen Electra II, to be released in 1996.
Carmen Electra, who electra-fied fans with her six-page pictorial in the May Playboy, has been tapped to
succeed Playboy's 1994 Playmate of the Year, Jenny McCarthy,
as the co-host of the red-hot MTV series "Singled Out."
McCarthy, the first co-host of the wild Gen-X dating show, won the role
based on her popularity as Playmate of the Year and used it as a launching pad to international fame.
Over the course of the past six months, McCarthy has become one of the most popular stars on the
Internet and has been featured in glowing cover stories in publications from "TV Guide" to "Rolling
Stone."
Playboy model Carmen Electra takes over the reins of the fast-paced series this season and
continues the legacy of Playboy's popularity with the show's predominantly young male audience.
How do you get a cool job like Jenny McCarthy's cohosting Singled Out, MTV's dating-game
show? It may help to be able to write "posed for Playboy" on your résumé.
It worked for McCarthy, and the exposure seems to have helped Carmen Electra, the singer and subject of a
spread in the May issue of the magazine.
MTV announced today that Electra will replace McCarthy in February when she leaves the popular
show to star in two series, one on MTV, one a sitcom for another network (details haven't been
released about either project).
Tuesday, January 14, 1997 Carmen Electra May Join Baywatch
Former Playboy model Carmen Electra won a co-hosting gig at MTV's Singled Out by proving that
she could belch and slap frat boys almost as well as former Playboy model Jenny McCarthy. But
how well do her breasts heave in slow-mo? Word is that Electra is also being considered to fill
former Playboy model Pamela Lee's Speedo on the set of Baywatch. The New York Daily News
reports that Electra is in talks with the folks on the popular beach series, and she apparently has a
good shot at the role. What does this mean to her new gig at MTV? That's still unclear, but should
she depart, she, too, will leave behind some ample cups to fill.
